the shimmy

shimmying (sp) makes me happy. i could have a really bad day but if i just do even the littlest shimmy it makes me smile... and giggle a bit. then anything is possible ... i mean ... you should try it.

dear summer

i will see you in 13 days. i cannot wait for the freedom that awaits me in the "longer days" and lack of schedule. please send friends to visit and sit on the porch. i hope to free up more than ever and not make plans more than 48 hours in advance. this might perhaps probably will offend some but i think it is going to be rule number 2 of the summer sandwich in between rule number 1 do what ever you want to and rule number 3 clean (showers included)only when completely necessary. it is going to be great.

gone fishin

this weekend post chaperoning the 8th grade dance. chip and i went on a tour of south georgia... stoping by macon the see the sold out tee ball game of my niece and then heading down to see chips mom eat a southern cooked meal at 1:00 that makes you sleep to recover until 4:00. then we traveled our favorite dirt roads and stopped by jessica and shanes to fish. chip got me a new rod and reel and she is beautiful... works like a charm too! we caught blue gill and catfish and laughed until our bellies ached. it was a great get away! it was also a great fortaste of these two months and a one week to follow... SUMMER! i have never wanted it more in my life. i look forward to fishing, braves, beach trips, time to cook fun new things, stroll, and just be.

funny memory

so this was a few Christmases ago. brad the BIG brother got his baby blanket for his final present. you see... he had a hard time separating and my parents took the path of lying to sever the tie. they told him that he left it in a hotel room. at 32 years old the two reunite.

the blindside

last night was a rainy stay at home night. we made a big dinner together and watched the blindside. it is not tied for best sports movie with the pistol. PERFECT!

leslie... thanks for keeping me in style. i love footless tights... if they ran for president i would vote for them. it is kind of the elementary school equivalent to wearing shorts under your skirts and dresses.
